National Aquaculture Group participated in KAUST Fall 2012 Career Fair
[Al-Laith, October 2012] National Aquaculture Group, recently participated in Career Fair at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). The Career Fair was held at the university campus in Thuwal, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, 17th October 2012. Participation of some of the top companies in the region was by invitation only.

According to a spokesperson from KAUST, goal of the career fair was to provide KAUST’s graduate students from across science and technology disciplines a range of internships and the ability to explore future job opportunities. The Professional Development Office prepares students professionally to be qualified for the industry fields and obligate to business demands. Over 150 students, of both genders, different nationalities, and from across all KAUST degrees are expected to graduate by the end of 2012.

KAUST Career Day acts as a launch pad for graduating students, and it is a platform where the graduate students get in direct contact with employers offering job opportunities in science, technology and business-related areas. Further, it enhances the networking environment that provides companies and KAUST with a special opportunity to explore the potential of its graduate students.

National Aquaculture Group participated at the fair through an outstanding booth along with a Company portfolio presentation at the Conference Room. The attractive booth stirred the awareness of KAUST students about the company and its role in the aquaculture and food industry. During the fair, National Aquaculture Group representatives keenly interacted with the students, providing awareness about the company, and giving them the opportunities to explore different career prospects.

National Aquaculture Group was represented by the HR Team led by Corporate Organization and Knowledge Development Director, Ariffin Mamat. With him were HR-Operations Head, Ali Al Shaiki, HR- Organization & People Development Head, Nereus Jethro Abad and Corporate Communication & Media Manager, Hamdy Shaheen.

Ariffin Mamat, Corporate Organization and Knowledge Development Director, said “we are pleased to participate at this KAUST fall Career fair 2012, and this event provides an opportunity for us to interact with diversity of talents from the university and to identify opportunities for future cooperation, including recruitment, training or consultation.”

KAUST has a total of over 700 graduate students (Master’s and PhD) in science and technology from 70 countries all with excellent academic backgrounds as the minimum entry requirement is GPA 3.5 out of 4.00 Degree areas include Applied Mathematics and Computational Science, Biosciences, Chemical and Biological Engineering, Chemical Science, Computer Science, Earth Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Science and Engineering, Marine Science and Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
