Manager Logistic and Farm Support

The Position
Reporting to the General Manager - Offshore Operation Fish Business Unit, the Manager- Logistic & Farm Support shall be responsible for the management of onshore and offshore support activities including shore base development, 50m Landing craft operation, feed deliveries, harvesting operations, Cage building and Net maintenance, mooring installation etc. This includes support decisions on purchasing of net, cage and moorings components and will enquire to travel to visit suppliers.

The Manager- Logistic & Farm Support shall be responsible to manage the logistics support and supply operation services and to provide strategic marine fish cage operation support expertise, leadership and direction to run a complex and rapidly expanding offshore fish farming operation. He is responsible to plan, direct and coordinate the support services of the Offshore Farm.

The candidate is directly responsible in ensuring that support services are provided to the Marine Farms in order for them to perform and produce.

The Person
To be considered for this role, the candidate is expected to have:

  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience with 5 years at senior supervisory or management level in Marine Fish Cage farming or Offshore Support with proven competence in all disciplines of the operation.
  • A University degree specializing in Marine Sciences, Marine Biology, Fisheries, Aquaculture and other related field.
  • Basic knowledge in marine machineries, tools and equipment, cages, cranes, moorings, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of marine fish cage farming, offshore operation, and marine logistics and support management.
  • Knowledge in diving safety, marine equipment and boats.
  • Excellent leadership and proven interpersonal and people management skills.
  • Ability to design competitive and cost effective cage operation strategies to achieve desired results.
  • Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations.
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
  • Strong communication and team skills, and able to operate in a matrix environment.
  • Proven skills in business and financial management including budget preparation and control.
  • Computer proficiency.
